The pair of residential towers, 16 and 18 storeys tall, which form an imaginary letter M form new Bratislava's "Manhattan".
Bratislava's downtown is becoming one of the most modern and vibrant parts of the capital. The METROPOLIS project combines functional design and high-quality living with modern office spaces. It offers 142 apartments, 91 flats, and 65 studios in two blocks with 18 and 16 storeys.
The buildings will house a total of 298 units, including 142 flats and 156 apartments. In addition to the high standard of construction, the amenities confirm the project’s position in the luxury segment. Features include a reception area, card-operated elevators, delivery services, a storage facility, a residential park - a landscaped elevated courtyard at the rear of the project - and two-storey retail space on the ground floor. Architecture is a strong point of the project, and in addition to its shape and height - which is 63 metres - the contrast between the protruding grid of the white-painted glass-concrete load-bearing structure and the sandstone-coloured ceramic cladding also makes a striking impression.
We overcame the site’s technically challenging conditions - such as geological contamination from a former refinery and the traffic situation - thanks to innovative solutions. For example, a heat recovery system and modern cooled or heated ceilings in the apartments ensure the comfort of future residents.
